- Step 1: Prepare the Beef.In a skillet over medium heat, cook your ground beef and diced onion until fully browned and cooked through. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Once done, drain off the excess fat so your sliders don’t end up soggy.
- Step 2: Preheat and Prep.Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). While it heats, slice your dinner rolls in half horizontally (like a giant sandwich). Lay the bottom halves on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Step 3: Layer the Good Stuff.Start by layering slices of cheese directly onto the bottom buns. This helps shield the bread from moisture. Next, spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the cheese layer, then top with more cheese slices. Add a light swipe of mayo on the inside of the top buns, if using, and place them on top of the sliders.
- Step 4: Butter & Bake.Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Pop the tray into the oven and bake uncovered for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and everything is heated through. The buns should be slightly toasted and golden on top.
